Amazon SES + Ops-Free

$5 / month

Ops-Free
$0
Amazon SES (billed by AWS)
$5

Resend (Pro 50k)

$20 / month

Sending included in the price.

At 50,000 emails a month that is $15 less a month with Amazon SES and Ops-Free.

Prices checked 6 October 2026 against each company's public pricing page, in US dollars. Amazon SES is $0.10 per 1,000 emails and excludes attachment data and any extras you use. Resend figures use its cheapest published plan for your volume, including overage. Plans change, so check resend.com/pricing and aws.amazon.com/ses/pricing before you decide. Ops-Free itself is free.

How the numbers work

Ops-Free sends through your own AWS account. Amazon bills you $0.10 per 1,000 emails directly. Ops-Free is free and adds nothing on top, so what you pay is Amazon's sending charge.

Resend includes sending in its plan price, so its cost steps up as your volume grows. That is why the gap widens the more you send.

Raw SES alone is cheaper than both, but you build the bounce handling, suppression and monitoring yourself. See Resend vs Amazon SES: the real cost for what that involves.
